"The Parkway"
A key element of the road system around Peterborough is the dual carriageway known locally as "The Parkway". In the unlikely event that you did get lost and had to ask directions, then people will most likely refer to this main ring-road system, which can be seen clearly on the map below.
From the South
Leave the A1 at Jct 13, clearly signposted for Peterborough, joining the A1139 - The Parkway. After 7 miles leave at Jct 5, signposted City Centre/Eastern Industry/Services. You will descend to a large roundabout known as the Boongate Roundabout. See below for final directions...
From the West
Cross the A1 at Junction 13, clearly signposted for Peterborough, joining the A1139 - The Parkway. Then proceed as above from the South...
From Boongate Roundabout
Take 4th exit signposted Boongate/Fengate/Flag Fen and pass Halfords/Showcase Cinemas (RHS) with Toyota & other dealerships (LHS). At next roundabout take 3rd exit. At Magnet Kitchens (LHS) road turns sharp left into Fengate. In 500 yds pass Nene Valley Foods (RHS) then at Wings Skoda turn right into Fenlake Business Centre. Hereward is in 3rd row of units, No. 24 in the far left corner.
From the North or West (A47)
The A47 joins The Parkway near Thomas Cook (RHS) then looping clockwise around Peterborough. Continue until signs for A1 London - you are now heading westbound. Pass Perkins factory (LHS) and after 2 miles leave The Parkway at Jct 5, signposted City Centre/Services. You will descend to a large roundabout known as the Boongate Roundabout. From the East (A47)
The A47 joins The Parkway shortly after Eye - now heading westbound. Pass Perkins factory (LHS) and proceed as above from the North & West...
From Boongate Roundabout
